Overview
Job Request Cut-Offs allow contractors to define how far in advance a job request must be submitted before the requested job start date.
This helps ensure contractors have enough notice to review, accept, and prepare for upcoming work, reducing last-minute requests that may be difficult or impossible to fulfil.
A cut-off can be configured at both the Organisation level and the Pricing Template level.
How Job Request Cut-Offs Work
Job Request Cut-Offs are applied when a guest selects their requested job dates.
Any dates that fall within the configured cut-off period are unavailable for selection, preventing guests from requesting jobs that contractors may not have enough time to fulfil.
The cut-off is calculated using business days and is based on the organisation's configured available working days.
Example
If your organisation has a 2 business day cut-off:
- A guest submitting a request on Monday cannot select a job start date on Tuesday or Wednesday.
- The earliest available start date would be Thursday, provided Thursday is a business day.
- If your organisation only operates Monday to Friday, weekends are not counted as business days when calculating the cut-off.
By preventing unavailable dates from being selected, guests can only submit requests that meet the contractor's required notice period.
Organisation-Level Job Request Cut-Off
The organisation-level cut-off acts as the default for all services unless a Pricing Template overrides it.
To configure the organisation cut-off
- Click your Profile icon.
- Select View Organisation.
- Open the Availability tab.
- Enter the required Job Request Cut-Off (for example, 2 business days).

Pricing Template Job Request Cut-Off
Individual services can either inherit the organisation's default cut-off or use their own custom cut-off.
This allows services that require additional preparation time to have stricter submission requirements.
