Overview
Experience Add-Ons allow Hosts to attach additional experiences to a primary experience, giving guests the option to enhance their booking.
An add-on is another experience owned by the same Host that can be booked alongside the main experience. This is commonly used to offer complementary services such as activities, vehicles, equipment hire, or upgrades.
Examples
- A property with a luxury vehicle add-on.
- A retreat venue with a wine tasting or kayaking experience.
- A conference venue with audio visual equipment or catering as additional experiences.
Availability Modes
Each experience can be configured with one of the following availability modes:
| Mode | Description |
|---|---|
| Add-On | The experience can only be booked alongside selected parent experiences. It cannot be booked on its own. |
| Standalone | The experience can only be booked individually and cannot be attached to another experience. |
| Both | The experience can be booked individually or selected as an add-on to another experience. |
How to Create an Experience Add-On
- Log in to 7DAY.
- Select Experiences.
- Select Manage Experiences.
- Open the experience you want to offer as the add-on (for example, a vehicle or activity).
- Click Edit.
- Under Availability, select the appropriate Availability Mode:
- Add-On
- Standalone
- Both
- If Add-On or Both is selected, choose the property or parent experience that this experience can be added to.
- Click Save.
Managing Add-Ons
A property can have multiple experiences attached as add-ons.
To view or manage the add-ons assigned to a property:
- Log in to 7DAY.
- Select Experiences.
- Open the property experience.
- Click Edit.
- Navigate to the Add-Ons section.
- View all attached experiences.
- Add, remove, or manage the linked add-ons as required.
How Guests Use Add-Ons
When a guest books a property or other eligible parent experience, any available add-ons are presented during the booking process.
Guests can select the experiences they would like to include with their reservation, creating a customised booking tailored to their needs.
